Freelance Editorial Illustrator Wanted

Are you studying or a recent grad from an illustration program at a community college and looking to showcase your work? We are seeking illustrators/artists to create engaging, visually appealing images to represent our blog posts. You will receive full credit for your illustration including a link to your website or instagram.

Your role and responsibility are to:

  • Read the blog post and brainstorm with our editorial assistant to come up with image ideas
  • Provide a thumbnail sketch before finalizing the illustration concept
  • Create beautiful drawings/illustrations from descriptions and details given in blog posts

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Must have the ability to create original digital images
  • Knowledge of image editing and design software
  • Strong conceptual and artistic skills
  • Must be able to draft illustrations from the written word
  • Must be willing to collaborate with team members
  • Interested volunteers must have their own access to illustration software
